My last post of 2020, making a revival for 2021 and the bloggers who make my heart go warm!

Hello! Oh God it’s been ages since I wrote a post here. In my last post, i promised to be more active on the reading community, however, life got in the way and I couldn’t do it. I thought maybe posting on Bookstagram AND my blog here would be easy, but it really isn’t.

I have realized I can only post consistently on one platform at a time.

While I tried my very best to post on Bookstagram regularly ( I did!), I unfortunately couldn’t do it here. However, Bookstagram experience has been amazing! I met so many wonderful people, connected with them, met so many local book-lovers too that i never knew were out there. I would also like to think that I significantly did better as far as photography and aesthetics were concerned haha.

I mean look for yourself:

And if you like my aesthetic and would like to engage with me, I would really appreciate following me here (Also any tips and help are highly appreciated!!)

However, one thing that I realized was that even though Instagram was cool and all, I actually missed writing huge chunks of content. My primary reason of starting a blog was to share my love for reading, discussing and reviewing books. And I think it’s safe to say, that I am a very wordy person who loves to go in details about books. But Instagram with its word-limit on captions, hindered me to go into much details about book reviews. I did share some reviews on my last post (which I posted 2 months ago) but after that, I just got so busy with work and with constant anxiety about COVID, I couldn’t make time to post here.

But, now that 2020 is ending, I want to make one last post to tell everyone that this time I will definitely show an improvement in my posting consistency.

I loved reading alllllll the posts on my WordPress feed and after commenting on some of my favourite bloggers’ post, I realized that these were the people who were my very first blogging inspirations. And even commenting after ages, these guys remember me! (For me, it’s really kind of someone to remember my presence and posts even when I haven’t interacted with them in days).

So I would really like to mention these people whose posts revived in me the love of blogging again.

KristinKravesBooks

She is literally one of the sweetest people I have met here on WordPress. There is no blog post of hers that doesn’t leaving me searching on Goodreads. Literally every post gives me a new recommendation and I love it! And all of them are written in such a conversational tone, I just can’t leave her blog without leaving comments.

Her disappointing reads of 2020 ignited in me the spark to start having these conversations again!

Clemi’s Bookish World

Another realization that I made between Bookstagram and WordPress is the amount of new releases tha i found out about here! One of posts being Clemi’s 2021 releases that she has been waiting for. No matter the genre, new releases and recommendations is something I am always top-notch ready for! And not only did her post about new releases made me really excited but ALSO SHE HAS A FULL PAGE DEDICATED TO DIFFERENT BOOK RECS. (You especially need to see French classic recs… I mean……she has recommendations based on unique topics and I died)

The Orangutan Library

Okay honestly, even when I had been off blogging, I used to get emails about her blogs and I always made sure I read some of them, even if not all. So there is not one post that of hers that brings me back here, it’s her entire blog! I love to read other people’s comments on her posts and what heythink and because she always replies to each and everyone, it feels so good!

All her posts are just….amazing! Again, she is super conversational and I love love love how she gives honest opinions. She isn’t afraid of offending anyone and just owns up to her choices. The best part? She gives proper justifications on why she dislikes a book which always makes me look back and question some very legitimate stuff that she posts about.

Oh also she is funny. Which is always a plus!

THANKYOU FOR YOUR POSTS TRULY!

Danielle @ The Life Of A Literary Nerd

One of the people that I interacted with the most was Danielle. A kind soul who always made sure to stop on every blog post i wrote and leave a comment. Her recent posts about favourite 2020 covers and 2020 debut authors are giving me SO MANY IDEAS!

Kat @ Life And Other Disasters

If you want to find out about the latest shows, tv releases, best shows or have a discussion on any TV show that you recently saw, this should be your pit-stop. Literally, only 2 minutes of me logging into wordpress and I was already commenting on her blog about Home For Christmas ( a very holiday cosy show). Also she posts weekly trailers which is amazing for a person like me who otherwise would never be updated with the film world!

Sofi @ A Book A Thought

Another OG of my blogging journey. From the content to her aesthetics, I have taken a lot of inspiration from her! I especially remember her NaNoWriMo updates and loved how easy she made it all seem like. Honestly Sofi, if you’re reading this, you should know that your blog gives me a bag full of ideas and inspiration to write new content. I mean Top 5 Descriptive Books??? THAT WAS MY FAVOURITE POST!

Aaahh. I have so many more to mention!! I have genuinely missed interacting with everyone on this community so so much. Sophie from Sophie’s Corner, Meggy from Chocolate n Waffles, The Bookidote duo, Misty’s Bookspace and the list can go and on and on.

Honestly, at this point everyone on my reader have played a significant role in my blogging journey ever since I started. But the reason I made a separate blog post to mention all of you wonderful people is because I genuinely wanted to appreciate you all for the content that you guys create and low-key I just wanted to say hello before I dived back into blogging again. (Some of you may remember me, some of you not)

My heart is so full whenever I see people here interacting with each other. I thank each and everyone of you for being kind, creative, inspirational and just for supplying endless amounts of bookish information!

I hope you all have a better than 2020 year ahead. Stay safe and happy new year! x
